Chizu @ IOI City Mall sits tucked on the lower ground floor of IOI City Mall in Putrajaya, positioning itself as a casual spot for those drawn to Japanese-inspired café treats and coffee. With a location near a busy walkway, expect a lively background hum rather than quiet or secluded vibes — this makes it a good pick if you enjoy some urban energy rather than a hushed corner.

The menu here leans into familiar café comforts but with a distinct twist: fruit teas, smooth cappuccinos, and matcha and cocoa lattes carry the everyday appeal, while desserts like burnt cheese pudding, almond tiramisu cake, and pineapple puffs bring out the sweet-tooth crowd. Locals keen on signature coffee and sweets often balance their pick between classic brews and desserts that carry a creamy, textured profile.

This cafe works best for casual meet-ups—friends pausing for a shared slice of blueberry cheesecake or an afternoon break with a nutty latte. It draws those who appreciate decent coffee and artisanal desserts over formal coffee tasting or slow café lounging. Staff interactions are noted to be warm and attentive, making service feel personable amid the chatter of passing shoppers.

Pricing here has drifted upward recently, which some locals note as a factor when settling in for a treat, especially for beverages that now tend toward the RM10+ range. This could steer those mindful of value more toward occasional indulgences than daily visits.

If you’re visiting during peak mall hours, expect steady foot traffic and a somewhat bustling background noise. Those seeking a quieter moment might find the cafe’s proximity to the walkway less ideal, but for going-to-and-from shoppers or casual strollers, it fits naturally into the mall’s rhythm.

Best times to visit would be weekday afternoons or early evenings when the mall is less hectic, allowing you to enjoy the cafe’s distinctive matcha lattes or a slice of tiramisu without the rush. Whether you're a coffee aficionado looking for smooth brews or someone wanting a sweet pick-me-up in a lively spot, Chizu balances familiar café culture with local dessert flair in a modern mall setting.

Chizu Cafe at IOI City Mall is definitely a must-visit spot for dessert and coffee lovers! Their Tiramisu Banjir is absolutely amazing — rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced with that signature Chizu touch. The coffee was smooth and aromatic, pairing beautifully with their pastries. Don’t miss out on the croissant with Japanese cheese — buttery, flaky, and so tempting you’ll want seconds! Perfect place to chill, catch up with friends, or just enjoy a sweet moment of happiness. Highly recommended!

Before, was my favourite Japanese cafe because reasonable price. Now, I don’t think so. Everything so much hiked especially their beverage….all above Rm$10….that’s insane. Pastries can be excuse but beverages shouldn’t keep increasing more than foods. Now, they have bamboloni Hyped in Canada recently but here, is already over long ago.
